Marketing In Action Or How To Understand Some Marketing Terms

So, you came to a party, and you see that in front of you is a pretty girl.

You walk up to her and say: “Hi, I’m the best groom in the area!”

What’s this? That’s right – it’s direct marketing.

Or you came to a party; Opposite you is a pretty girl. You give your friend an assignment. He, without thinking twice, crosses the hall, approaches the girl, and says: “See, there, on the contrary? This is my buddy. So, he is the best groom in the area!”

What is it called? Of course, advertising.

You came to a party, and you see that in front of you is a pretty girl. By hook or by crook, you will find out the number of her mobile phone, dial it the next day and say: “Hi, I’m the best groom in the area!”.

This thing is called telemarketing.

You came to a party, and you see that in front of you is a pretty girl. You are familiar with her. You strike up a casual conversation, doing everything possible and impossible so that she remembers you. Finally, when the girl is in a good mood and laughs after your next joke, you say: “I’m the best groom in the area!”.

This is customer relationship management or, in other words, retail management.

You came to a party, and you see that in front of you is a pretty girl. You put on the appearance of a very busy person. You are a genius. You are irresistible in oratory. You keep your back straight. You open the door for the ladies; You smile like a movie star, there is a fantastic aura of success around you. Finally, you approach her and say, “Hi, I’m the best groom in the area!”

This is the art of direct selling.

And finally, you came to the party and saw that in front of you was a pretty girl. She comes up to you and says: “Hi, I heard that you are the best groom in the area “.

Silent scene? No, just brand strength.

Of course, this is a joke, but there is some truth in every trick. Marketing is not a Russian word, and we did not invent it. We were not the first to introduce marketing practices. Therefore, the terminology here is not the most familiar and convenient, and it came to us “from behind a hillock.”

What Is A Hands-On Marketing

At the same time, practical approaches to implementing certain marketing practices are not always as complex as they are described in textbooks. Many entrepreneurs, wittingly or unwittingly, use marketing in their business, sometimes without realizing that they are doing it.

Moreover, even if the company does not have, and never had, say, a marketing department, this does not mean at all that the company does not use marketing. Practical marketing, if such a term is appropriate since it is not found in Western and Russian textbooks, is what almost all entrepreneurs and managers responsible for

  • for the development of new products and services,
  • for the promotion of products and services on the market,
  • for the sales organization and
  • sales support,
  • for the organization of interaction with consumers and customers, and
  • for many other things, without which modern business is unthinkable.

How it is all organized is the prerogative of each enterprise and organization. This is practical marketing or “the best groom around.”
